Upcoming Festivals For October

Hello craft addicts. Again, sorry I am not quite as active this time of year, but I have to earn a living and this is my peak season. Let's cut to the chase. You have two beer festivals to choose from in October (or you can go to both).

There is the Nashville Beer Festival on Oct 1st. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at the official web site. Some of the breweries reported to be making an appearance are  Boscos, Blackstone, Calfkiller, New Belgium, Brooklyn, Stoudt's, Chattanooga, Starr Hill, Caldera, Kona, Innis & Gunn, Red Hook, Ft. Collins, Widmer, Magic Hat, Butternuts, Atlanta, Hat Trick and Broadcast.

On October 22, you can also attend the Flying Saucer Fall Beer Festival. It goes from 2pm-9:30 pm. Tickets can be purchased at http://www.beerknurd.com/stores/nashville/ . I attended this festival last year and had a blast! While it is a smaller festival when it comes to quantity, it is well-organized and focuses on quality. Don't believe me? That's a lot of beer festivals in one month!  Now it's time for some shut eye. Hopefully when things slow down I can review a few beers. Feel free to send me suggestions (brewers send me some samples..wink wink).
