Tennessee Beer Festival tomorrow

There are still tickets left for the Tennessee Beer Festival held at the historic Two Rivers Mansion, held this Saturday Oct. 15- noon to 5. I have yet to check this one out because it conflicts with my children's soccer games. The ironic thing is that it's held about 1 minute from where they play. Oh well. A Few Important Reminders.....

I apologize that I have not been more active over the last two months. It's my peak season for my business and I have little time to do anything but work and sleep. The good news is that life is about back to normal, I can start posting more often.

Before I scoot, there are two important things you all need to be aware of (if you are not already). First, 12 South Winter Warmer tickets go on sale Friday at 9 am CST. There are only 750 tickets, and IT WILL sell out fast. Don't wait. Worst case scenario, you can sell them easily if you have to cancel. UPDATE: Event is SOLD OUT. I have spoken with organizer Matt Leff a few times over lunch, and he let me in a few of the offerings. I can assure you all that no one will be disappointed. I have a good feeling that Matt is going to raise the bar Nashville and regional beer festivals. In fact, I'll most likely be helping out!  Here is an excerpt from the official website:

"The 12 South Winter Warmer is Nashville's first and only winter beer festival. This will be an epic day in Sevier Park showcasing the finest stouts, porters, barley wines, winter seasonal's, and barrel-aged beers. To make this event an even more memorable time for our guests it will be limited to 750 people. Tickets will go on sale October 14th at 9 AM CST, and are $45. Tickets include festival entry, tasting glass, and unlimited 2 ounce samples."

 

Need something to do on Saturday Oct. 22? Check out the Flying Saucer Fall Beer Festival. It's really more of a "nano festival", but it is well-organized with a smaller, but quality selection of craft beer. Tickets are $25 online, and $30 the day of the event. It's held right out in front of the venue, and goes from 2pm to 9pm. It definitely gets my recommendation based on my experience last year.
